This October, the youth of the Leadership Academy in the Arts Cohort at EcoLogik Institute, who also serve as Conservation and Environmental Stewardship Apprentices at Cabrillo National Monument, are teaming up with the National Writing Project for Write Out!
The youth apprentices invite you to join them online on Saturday, October 11th, from 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM. From the comfort of your home, participants will engage in fun, sensory-based activities, using sight, sound, touch, and even smell, to notice and appreciate the living world around Cabrillo National Monument, San Diego.
Through this virtual experience, you’ll:
Step outside (or bring nature indoors!) and connect with public lands
Explore biodiversity and learn about the mission to protect natural resources
Create original writing inspired by nature
Write, explore, and discover how tuning into your senses can deepen your connection with the park, all virtually!
